GRADE – III

  Dear parents,

We have successfully completed the first unit of inquiry with your support. The students have understood that the rights and responsibilities go hand in hand and that every right has a corresponding responsibility.
We are now going to begin our second unit of inquiry. Below is a brief insight into what your child will be inquiring into:

  1. Perspective (What are the points of view): Students understand the ways in which humans connect knowledge and experience that lead to diverse understanding.
  2. Connection (How is it connected to other things): Students realize that there are many ways in which our past, present and future are all connected.

SKILLS: (What do we want students to be able to do?)

    • Thinking skills (acquisition of knowledge): Students to improve their thinking skills by gathering information based on specific facts and ideas of their chosen leader.
    • Research skills (gathering information) students read books on various leaders and gather information.

    Attitudes: (What do we want students to feel, value and demonstrate?)

  1. Tolerance: Students need to demonstrate this attitude by being sensitive and responsive to the needs of others.
  1. Empathy:  Students need to develop this attitude to understand others feelings and emotions to help others whenever they can.

  1. Principled: Students develop this attribute by imbibing the qualities of their role models and by taking responsibility for their own actions.
  2. Thinker: Students become thinkers by reading various biographies of great leaders and how they have made a difference through their actions.

English – Vocabulary, tenses (focus on past tense), verbs, adjectives
