I Y.Vanisree would like to introduce myself as a HEAD for the Pre-primary wing. I am happy to be working directly with students and teachers in this wonderful learning community. The Most Important Things I do is • Restructuring Curriculum • Mentoring students and new staff • Communicating goals and objectives • Meet teachers to plan curriculum and encourage with team spirit • Gather materials and resources and implementation of innovative methods Primary Responsibilities • Prepare students to be a self responsible, making confident independent learner and to be a good citizen • Represents and promote the school mission and vision • Create a Positive, supportive learning environment • Serves as a Role model to students and teachers • Flexible and open minded with respect to learning style Teaching Experience: I have been working with young children for many years and I truly love what I do it keeps me young and active. “I love everything about being in a class room with a bunch of kids”. I like to upgrade the process of learning and teaching which would helps me an effective teaching methodology in the class. As a part of my work with classroom teacher, I participate in whole class lessons and work with small groups for writing and reading. I teach children for all different levels of ability in their groups. During the year 2008-09, I had the opportunity to be the HEAD for the Pre-primary classes. This is my fourth year at Silver Oaks School and I feel fortunate to be a part of the supportive and caring community.
